Despite MSM Narrative, Nothing Has Changed Under Trump

Analysis by Kyle A. Lohmeier

President Donald Trump is doing nothing to deter the continuation of his warmongering predecessor’s blood-soaked foreign policy as Marines deployed to Syria by Obama have recently  arrived in-country. According to Foreign Policy Magazine, an artillery battery from 1st Battalion, 4th Marine have brought their M777 howitzers to support U.S.-backed militias moving against ISIS – as per the official line anyway.

The deployment will nearly double the U.S. boots-on-the-ground presence in Syria to 900 from 500. The fire base being set up near Raqqa will be the third U.S. outpost in northern Syria, a fact most Americans are likely unaware of by design. The same article reports that the Pentagon is considering sending another 1,000 troops to Kuwait as a reserve force in the fight against ISIS; which indicates that the Pentagon is expecting American soldiers to die in sufficient numbers for the oligarchs so as to need replacement by reserves.

Similarly, Trump is already lauding a Republican-crafted “replacement” for Obamacare that isn’t substantively different from Obamacare in any real way and in fact creates a brand new entitlement program for people who earn less than $75,000 per year, i.e. most Americans.

Also, yesterday women all across the United States protested and demonstrated against economic and societal issues that had existed unabated and unprotested during all eight years of Obama’s ruinous reign. Hilariously, Reuters insisted on highlighting the “sacrifice” many of them made in giving up a day’s pay to demonstrate against whatever the hell it was they’re complaining about.

“’I had to go to show that is not my president. Every time he opens his mouth, it’s a garbage can,’ said Iloane Lila, 73, who joined thousands of women at a rally in New York City’s Central Park,” Reuters quoted her as saying in the first quote to appear in the article and the most “coherent,” complaint against Trump to be found in any reporting on the issue, despite being objectively trivial as hell.

Literally nothing has changed, at all, since Jan. 19, 2017. Despite that, the mainstream media has decided it imperative to whip the peasantry up into a froth over all the supposedly terrible things that Trump is somehow responsible for 48 days into his reign.

Now, granted, Trump is an awful person full of awful ideas and will be at least as terrible a president as was Obama. Thing is, he hasn’t even begun implementing his worst idea – the wall – and his much-bemoaned “racist travel ban” isn’t that much different than ones signed by other presidents in the past.

For all his talk about defeating ISIS, it will be interesting to see how the foreign deployments Trump orders stacks up against the incessant warmongering of Obama, whose foreign policy is still placing American soldiers in harm’s way today. For all his talk of getting rid of Obamacare, he won’t. For all the protesting and hand-wringing and doom-saying , the next three-and-some-change years will be indistinguishable from the ruin that would have been caused by a Hillary Clinton presidency, or by a third term under Obama.

The only people who will benefit from Trump’s presidency will be the same as those who benefitted from Obama’s presidency, the oligarchs the government works for exclusively; a fact that hasn’t changed in decades and would have remained unchanged regardless of who won the White House. The only people who will be harmed by Trump’s presidency are the same who’ve been harmed by Obama’s presidency – the American people – including each and every protestor outside yesterday bleating at nothing.

It would be nice, though unrealistic, if the mainstream media would tell Americans to be upset about and protest being peasants exploited by their government for the benefit of a small cabal of oligarchs; but of course that would be contrary to the needs of the state, so the media would never dare even bring up such a narrative.
